Model Shoots

Supple Suki – Fashion Shoot

This last month we had the great pleasure of working with a new model to me who goes by the name 'Supple Suki' and she is everything it says on the tin. She normally teaches acrobatic pole dancing and can get into any position you choose, within limits. She was also great fun to be with.

Suki contacted me through a website regarding a posting of work that I put up, but was a little bit too late. Still she impressed me enough to follow her up and give her a shoot on her own.

Thanks then to all involved. To Suki for modelling. To Phil Lynam at the Boardroom Studio in Derby. To Shadrine at Kavour Beauty for her hair and makeup and to Amy for all her help and food stuff.

Come the new year, I hope to shoot again with this flexible and charming model.

Zoe Birtwhistle Fashion Shoot – Before Long

The largest part of this months shoot material is being used on another site, but here are a few head and shoulders shots I took of fashion model Zoe Birtwhistle. The head piece she is wearing that looks like a Radio Active sign, was made by hand for this shoot by Zoe herself. It was brilliant, I am eternally in her debt for going to such lengths to create something so original for this shoot.

The pictures as usual were taken in the amazing Boardroom Studio in Derby, with thanks to Phil Lynam for its use and his help. So also a special thanks also to Amy for helping me on the day and providing food. A warm thanks obviously to Zoe, you were brilliant.

Monalisa Moyo – Location Shoot 2

This month was time again to work with my muse, good friend and fashion model Monalisa Moyo.

This time we went on another location shoot to Pleasley Vale with a very raw look and a dress hand made by Amy. I have attempted to give some of the pictures a very African location feel about them and I hope we all pulled it off. Monalisa came along with her lovely friend Sim who helped along with the shoot. So a thank you all around for Monalisa, Sim and Amy for her help and clothing design.

Maryna Sedin Fashion Photo Shoot

This month I was to photograph the lovely Marie Jean Saxton model again, but it has had to be postponed due to being very heavy with child. So that left a vacancy and opportunity to work with a new model. Welcome then Maryna Sedin, who stepped forward to fill the vacancy … and she was amazing.

Taken at the Boardroom Studio, in Derby she came all the way up from London to star in the shoot. I pointed the camera at her after hair and makeup and she drop straight into poses. A true professional and brilliant. Have a look at the pictures and see for yourself. I should like to thank all involved, to Maryna for her modelling. To Shadrine at Ka'Vour Beauty. To Phil Lynam at The Boardroom Studio for all his help. To Chris, Nina and Gail at Brambles Florist and Flowers To Yours for the gypsophila, To Karen and Carmen at Ma & Ma Fashions for the Chinese dress and costume jewellery. To Retoucher Sophia in Vietnam for her image enhancement and of course Amy for her assistance. X

Monalisa Moyo – Location Shoot

We chose around the train / tram line for this photo shoot with Monalisa Moyo, keeping it clean and simple. I also wanted to try out my new camera = a sort of test drive – and it performed brilliantly. As did model Monalisa. We managed to get ourselves thrown off the tram area by some officious arsehole who just liked to play kill joy, tin pot Hitler. Oh well.

Please enjoy the photos.

Nicolie Campbell (with Monalisa Moyo) Fashion Shoot

It was good to get back into the studio again with athlete and champion boxer Nicolie Campbell again. Its so hard to take a bad picture of this man. And on top of this shoot regular Monalisa Moyo came along as well to lend a helping hand … and arm … literally ! The images were all taken early on a Friday morning at The Boardroom Studio in Derby and I must mention a special thank you to studio owner Phil Lynam for creating some of the amazing lighting you can see on the pictures.

so a big shout out to Phil as well as Nicolie and the lovely Monalisa Moyo for her help.

Moyondafoluwa African Themed Fashion Shoot

A selection of picture from a model doing her second shoot with me, the first being the Pantone Colour of the year shoot Summer. So welcome back Moyondafoluwa (or Moyolistic as she is often known). A big shout out to her and Shadrine from Kavour Beauty for the hair and makeup, as well as a firm thanks again to Phil Lynam at The Boardroom Studio in Derby for all his help.

Xenia Model & Monalisa Moyo Fashion Shoot

I was graced by two lovely models for my first shoot of the New Year in the shape of old favourite Monalisa Moyo and new (to me) Russian model Xenia. Both models shot with me and together over a two day shoot at the Boardroom Studio in Derby. It was quite a big shoot with a lot of concepts and styles and I thought it would have wore me out more than it actually did. Thanks then to Xenia and Monalisa for their modelling and Shadrine from Kavour Beauty for her amazing makeup. Thanks also to Phil Lynam for his studio and help on the day. A special thank you to Amy for her assistance and food. I fully intend to see more of both Xenia and Monalisa again at future shoots and shall give serious thought as to some worthy ideas.

As a matter of interest Xenia Model has her own brilliant studio in sunny Sheffield, where she works as model and owner. Check out her place, its called Zavod Studio.

Tasha Lawer Model Shoot

A couple of months ago I made contact with a brilliant Derby model, Natasha Lawer who was going to stand in for Monalisa Moyo if she could not make our last shoot in the St. James Hotel. Well in the end she did not have to, but I appreciated her support and promised her a shoot of her own at The Boardroom Studio in Derby. I am pleased to be able to show you the pictures from the shoot and was amazed at this versatile model. Easy to get along and work with, her body moves were amazing and put to full use. So she was awesome and I would like her to do another shoot with me next year if she can. Thanks to Natasha for her poses, to Phil Lynam for his help at the studio and to Amy for making me some props to go in the models hair.
