There was not supposed to be a photo shoot this January as I needed a rest, but I got itchy fingers. No that does not mean I went out shoplifting, rather I called up my old fried Monalisa Moyo to see if she was up to an impromptu shoot at my house. And she was thankfully.
These pictures were taken in my sparse bathroom which is safe to say is not the parlay Ritz, but with some powdered milk in the bath water and on a cold day outside, we got the task done in one take. Thanks then to lovely fashion model, my friend, Monalisa Moyo for her time.
This was the only shoot we managed to do this month, but it was one I had longed to do. We got special permission from the boss of Nottingham Train Station to use a part of his station away from all the trains So thanks to him and to Shadrine who popped along to do the makeup for both models. Monalisa Moyo was first up with a short set and looking great in the very expensive 'Ballet Boots' I purchased from Amazon. Monalisa complained that they were impossible to stand up in and you can get a sense of that from the pictures. Yet they make for an interesting shoot. Monalisa was joined by a lovely model I had never worked with named Fern Thompson who came a distance for this shoot and I was very grateful for her being there.
Together they worked well. I hope you like the set?

We chose around the train / tram line for this photo shoot with Monalisa Moyo, keeping it clean and simple. I also wanted to try out my new camera = a sort of test drive – and it performed brilliantly. As did model Monalisa. We managed to get ourselves thrown off the tram area by some officious arsehole who just liked to play kill joy, tin pot Hitler. Oh well.
Please enjoy the photos.

I was graced by two lovely models for my first shoot of the New Year in the shape of old favourite Monalisa Moyo and new (to me) Russian model Xenia. Both models shot with me and together over a two day shoot at the Boardroom Studio in Derby. It was quite a big shoot with a lot of concepts and styles and I thought it would have wore me out more than it actually did. Thanks then to Xenia and Monalisa for their modelling and Shadrine from Kavour Beauty for her amazing makeup. Thanks also to Phil Lynam for his studio and help on the day. A special thank you to Amy for her assistance and food. I fully intend to see more of both Xenia and Monalisa again at future shoots and shall give serious thought as to some worthy ideas.
As a matter of interest Xenia Model has her own brilliant studio in sunny Sheffield, where she works as model and owner. Check out her place, its called Zavod Studio.
Just a little hangover from last months shoot with Monalisa Moyo. I have made three fashion prints, turned / toned blue for effect.

While at the new studio I thought it would be great to snap both star models together … and they agreed. So here are the amazing Monalisa Moyo and Tanya together. Thanks to The Boardroom Studio and to Ka’Vour Beauty for their valued imput.
