Mercybongo Shoot at the studio. 'GOLD'

Its always a good shoot when Mercybongo rides into town. She is such a great model and genuinely happy person to work with. This is our ninth shot together and the theme this shoot was gold. Shadine was on hand to add a gold flaky texture to her face using Vaseline and gold makeup. I thought we might not get a lot done this shoot as it is very time consuming, but it turned out good timewise. It was also Mercybongos first time attending the shoot without Carl and driving herself. Well done … you can do it, nothing to worry about.

We will be seeing Mercy again in December when she does a two model fashion shoot with Munira Model. Needless to say I am looking forward to that. So thank you then to everyone there. To Mercy. To Shadrine at Kavour Beauty and Phil at The Boardroom Studio, Derby. Although Amy was not there she provided the food so another thanks to her.

Monalisa Moyo and Fern Thompson – Nottingham Train Station Shoot.

Both melanin lovelys together on set. Thank you for Shadrine from Kavour for her makeup and Amy for helping with the lighting.

Xenia Model & Monalisa Moyo Fashion Shoot

I was graced by two lovely models for my first shoot of the New Year in the shape of old favourite Monalisa Moyo and new (to me) Russian model Xenia. Both models shot with me and together over a two day shoot at the Boardroom Studio in Derby. It was quite a big shoot with a lot of concepts and styles and I thought it would have wore me out more than it actually did. Thanks then to Xenia and Monalisa for their modelling and Shadrine from Kavour Beauty for her amazing makeup. Thanks also to Phil Lynam for his studio and help on the day. A special thank you to Amy for her assistance and food. I fully intend to see more of both Xenia and Monalisa again at future shoots and shall give serious thought as to some worthy ideas.

As a matter of interest Xenia Model has her own brilliant studio in sunny Sheffield, where she works as model and owner. Check out her place, its called Zavod Studio.

August Shoots and our day out in Derby

I thought that along with my new makeup artist Ka’Vour Beauty, I would try out a new studio. So booked myself in for a four hour shoot at The Boardroom Studio in Derby. It was a great place and we all got something good out of it. So thanks to Phil at the studio (veiw it here), for all his assistance and use of his pad.
