September Flower Update

All new flower pictures for this month, I have tried to make them as dynamic and interesting as I can. I am sure you will tell me otherwise if they are not. Please enjoy.

To remember Marie Coyne with affection

I would wish to say a few words about a friend of mine who has departed. Many years ago I made friends with a great man, a good Roman Catholic, proud Irishman and father named John Coyne. and his loving wife Lorraine. Both John and Lorraine were blessed with three very special daughters, Emma, Katie and the middle one, Marie Coyne. I have known Marie since she was about seven years old and we all went to the seaside together once. I gave her and her sister Katie an Easter Egg each from the day. Marie grew into a gentle soul with varied interests. Once mad on Sonic The Hedgehog then the brit pop band Oasis, Marie was brilliant at most things computing and artistic. She knew Adobe Photoshop long before I mastered it myself and was a true inspiration to me. Since moving away we had lost touch, but my friend Eddie informed me she had past away the other week. I don't know why, he did not say, but I was very sad to hear that news. Marie made my first ever web site all those years ago and she was as wonderful a person to ever know. On her Instagram page the last entery shows her in a picture with her boyfriend and soul mate Jezz Spear.

The caption with the picture reads 'I am so happy.'

There was something so very lovely about Marie and it was impossible not to like her. I count myself blessed to have known her in life.

Goodbye my friend, so sorry to see you go x

Marie Anne Coyne was thirty six.

Tyler Dyce & Zarah Lane August Photo Shoot, 2019

I have long been meaning to keep my promise to my good friend Irena Orme, regards photographing her lovely daughter Zarah Lane. So I thought I would bring her along to a shoot with Tyler. And she did not let me down. Zarah was great infront of the camera and under instruction di a brilliant job. So thanks to Zarah and Tyler Dyce our two models for the shoot. To amazing hair and makeup by Karen Hegarty MUA and assistants from Mum, Irena Orme. For the tech heads out there the blurred images were created using a Lensbaby Sweet 80 Lens - Deliberatly !!!

Tyler Dyce & Nicolie Campbell Photo Shoot, August 2019.

Strickly speaking this should have been in last months shoot galleries, but as it was done last minute I could not edit it in time. So here they are together. Tyler asked me if she could have a photo shoot with a hansome man … more a handsome black man? Well who better than Boxer / Athlete Nicolie Campbell. Thanks to both of them for this shoot. Special shout out to studio owner Lee Henshaw for getting the studio at the eleventh hour.

August Flower Update

This year is moving fast, or is it just me getting older quicker? I am proud to show you this months flower images of the Cabella type. All edited and all new. Hope you enjoy? Thinking of you Marie xx

Tyler Dyce & Ed6 Once Upon A Time In The West photo shoot, July 2019

Of all the days in July to pick a shoot on location, I managed to pick the most rain soaked I could find.

Still that said it all went very well, with the rain holding off for just long enough. And in this shoot we have alongside the ever lovely Tyler Dyce, a new model to me. Filipino model Ed6. Ed was great in front of the camera and I managed to get some very nice images of the models. So a big round of applause to models Tyler Dyce and Ed6. To makeup artist Karen Hegarty MUA and to assistants Stef Edwards and Amy. A special mention to our friend Lorraine at The Pit Micropub, Newstead Village, Notts for her hospitality, rooms and great beer. Her micropub was used at the Christmas last 1970’s themed shoot, and just over the road from the nature reserve location. Check out her pub The Pit Micropub

July Flower Update

Here are the Cabella Flower Images for July. I have changed the name of one class of image. I used to call the ‘Ghost’ images, because they were old fashion sepia toned. Well they have moved so far away from the original concept that I now call them ‘Alternatives.’ They are all one offs, with a slight sneak of the old sepia in them but with more colour and vibrance added. All flowers provided kindly by Blossoms Florist.

Eniola Shittu - First Photoshoot, June 2019

My fellow photographe, assistant and best friend, Tyler Dyce on her frequent nights out in town came across a lovely potential model and a club toilet – as you do ! Anyway, she got her to call me up after getting through to me via Instagram. And I am glad she did, as welcome Eniola Shittu. She is a lovely woman with a strong look and was great in front of the camera. She soon took to it and here are the results. So thanks to Eniola Shittu and Tyler Dyce. xx

June Flower Update

Here is June's offerings from the flower pictures. I have posted the half year Cabella Flower slide shows above for you all to enjoy. Let me know what you think … send me a message, carrier pigeon, Ouija board … whatever !

Monalisa Moyo & Tyler Dyce - Elizabethan Shoot - May 2019

I have been wanting to do this for so long. An Elizabethian Shoot. If you google ‘Elizabethan portraits’ lots of pictures come up and, not surprisingly they are all featuring white men and women. So I wanted to do something a little different, and photographed the two stars Monalisa Moyo and Tyler Dyce. The photography was ‘Rembrandt style’ lighting with one fresnel and the costumes were provided by the amazing Complete Costumes, of Kidderminster, Worcs (seriously check them out !). Thanks then to the two models for the work and to makeup artist Karen Hegarty MUA for all her hard work and Lee Henshaw for his studio hire. Yet one more off the bucket list of shoots and things to do before I die !!!
