Announcement
Years end and a hope for a better tomorrow ....
Is it just me or has this year flown by?
It did not seem all that long ago when I was pondering just what I would do with the rest of the year. I set myself some goals in January, and many of which I never achieved, but I still had fun trying. A few people I know did not make it through the year sadly and some so tragically young. But there is always another day so we go on and on until our days run out. To come in the new year is more shoots with Tyler Dyce and more with other great models like Christine Cain. I would also like to see the return of my old friend Monalisa Moyo. I miss her being around. Thank you to everyone for helping me this year with a special mention to my wife Amy for her behind the scenes help, advice and sandwiches. See you all in January …
Pour Esther - pavane pour une infante défunte
In your prayers please spend a thought for my friend, someone we worked with back at the start of the the year Esther Oyediji (aka Queen Esther). When we had the shoot together none of us knew that Esther was in fact pregnant at the time with her first born child. It was only recently that she asked whether I would like to do a maternity shoot with her? However by this time I was already fully booked up unfortunately and had to decline the kind offer.
Sadly since that time Esther has informed me that she and her husband have lost their baby son. I do not know the reasons why and I never asked, but it was heart breaking enough to know their little boy has gone. Life is not always fair and can seem so arbitrarily random and cruel at times like these. Still we will be seeing Esther back in the studio early next year, but until then please spare a place in your thoughts and prayers for her and her husband
… and their little boy, Daniel.
God be with you and your family at this time and always. Try to remember that although it seems dark now, there is always a tomorrow Esther x
To remember Marie Coyne with affection
I would wish to say a few words about a friend of mine who has departed. Many years ago I made friends with a great man, a good Roman Catholic, proud Irishman and father named John Coyne. and his loving wife Lorraine. Both John and Lorraine were blessed with three very special daughters, Emma, Katie and the middle one, Marie Coyne. I have known Marie since she was about seven years old and we all went to the seaside together once. I gave her and her sister Katie an Easter Egg each from the day. Marie grew into a gentle soul with varied interests. Once mad on Sonic The Hedgehog then the brit pop band Oasis, Marie was brilliant at most things computing and artistic. She knew Adobe Photoshop long before I mastered it myself and was a true inspiration to me. Since moving away we had lost touch, but my friend Eddie informed me she had past away the other week. I don't know why, he did not say, but I was very sad to hear that news. Marie made my first ever web site all those years ago and she was as wonderful a person to ever know. On her Instagram page the last entery shows her in a picture with her boyfriend and soul mate Jezz Spear.
The caption with the picture reads 'I am so happy.'
There was something so very lovely about Marie and it was impossible not to like her. I count myself blessed to have known her in life.
Goodbye my friend, so sorry to see you go x
Marie Anne Coyne was thirty six.
Remembering Belinda Charlton
I found out last month from my friend ex-model Debi Jackson, that someone I knew and worked with sadly passed away from cancer on December 14th, 2018. I felt strongly that I did not want it to go without saying something about her. Belinda Guilfoyle (aka Belinda Charlton) was a Page 3 model back in its hayday.during the 1990's Belinda, along with fellow model Danni Wheeler were the first two models I ever worked with back in the day (before I found my love for Fashion photography) when I was a budding glamour photographer. Belinda was where it all started and began for me. So I can draw a direct line from Belinda Charlton to the lovely models featured here on this web site. Without her, for me, there would be no Tyler Dyce or Monalisa Moyo and so many others over the years. So I owe her a huge debt of gratitude. Belinda was always good to be around and endlessly laughed at my stupid jokes. I worked with her quite a few times again after that first shoot and have fond memories of her. Belinda leaves behind a husband and three children. I would like to dedicate this site to her memory. Goodbye Belinda, you were lovely .... and it was fun,.... sleep well my friend. xx
